NVIDIA is pretty darn proud of their quad-core Tegra 3 processor, and for good reason. Once you see what the next-gen chipset is capable of you'll never look at a single-core or dual-core device the same. Check out the two minute video below which shows the Kal-El Tegra 3 handles gaming like a boss, giving a console-like experience. The game being demonstrated, Shadowgun, has been previously available for Android however this is an optimized version that takes advantage of the new NVIDIA prowess.
The Tegra 3-optimized version of Shadowgun features console-quality water, enhanced rag-doll physics, particle effects, enhanced shaders and dynamic textures. These are only possible using Tegra 3’s multi-core capabilities, and they make for a truly immersive and realistic gaming experience.
We can't wait until we're playing these types of games on our tablets while we wait at the doctor's office or during school plays (did we say that?). I'm all for casual games and easy-to-learn/hard-to-resist titles but there's nothing quite like a truly engrossing story with lifelike graphics.
