In what looks to be a last Hail Mary to get people picking up the estranged BlackBerry Playbook, RIM has slashed the prices for ALL PlayBook models to US$299 for a limited time offer that ends on February 4th. If for some reason you were looking to get one of the larger capacity PlayBooks, this would be an opportune time to do so as you'll be saving about US$400 per pop. RIM says that the sale will go until February 4th or when stocks dry up. It's no secret about the PlayBook's terrible numbers in the first 3 quarters of its life, posting steady declines, nearly halving in numbers shipped each quarter.
