A few weeks ago, Sony officially launched the Xperia S, which is running on Android 2.3. Besides the fact that it'll launch with Gingerbread, we know the Xperia S will pack a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 4.3-inch Reality Display with a resolution of 1280 x 720, and a 12MP rear camera with fast capturing time. But there are some internal details we all want to hear about this mouth-watering device.

Clove UK has released the whitepaper for the Sony Xperia S, which gives us some more in-depth information about the phone. From the whitepaper, we learned that it's a PlayStation-certified device. Also, the 720p display of the phone is protected by a shatterproof sheet on scratch resistant glass. The bad news is that the phone features internal storage of only 1 to 1.5GB. But there is a silver lining in the form of a microSD card slot. The 12MP camera features a 16x digital zoom, a f/2.4 aperture and 3D sweep panorama mode.

Sony Timescape is still there, and the device also comes with an "infinite button," which acts as a smart filter within Timescape. It also comes with USB tethering and WiFi hotspot functionality built in.

It will hit the U.S. as the Xperia Ion, and it will be up for pre-order somewhere around March
