ASUS New Desktop System (Republic of Gamers (ROG) Tytan Gaming Desktop CG8565) Review And Malaysia Price
Posted by Syed Salleh at 6:29 AMASUS is very well known for its hardware component products such as motherboards and graphic cards as well as notebooks, Ultrabooks, tablet and to some extent, smartphones (still remember ASUS Garmin, anyone?). However, pre-assembled desktop system is not really their forte even though they do have a handful of All-in-One PCs and slim clients under their wings.
That might change soon as ASUS has recently launched a whole range of complete desktop systems that covers from low end to high end market and they are available here in Malaysia right now. Leading the line-up is the Republic of Gamers (ROG) Tytan Gaming Desktop CG8565 that features a 3.4GHz Intel Core i7-2600k with factory fitted liquid cooling system as well as a turbo button that can pushes the processor’s speed up to 4.20GHz instantly.
Priced at RM 5,999, the ROG Tytan is also equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce 560Ti 1GB DDR5 graphics card, 8GB of DDR3 1600 memories, Blu-Ray combo drive and 2TB SATA3 7200RPM hard drive. To complete the package, ASUS will also include a set of gaming keyboard and gaming mouse together with the ROG Tytan Desktop.
Accompanying ROG Tytan are the mid-range CM6850 and the lower end CP6130 which comes with a price tag of RM 2699 and RM 1799 respectively. However, they do not belong to the Republic Of Gamers series though since ROG series are targeted for gamers while CM6850 and CP6130 are meant for general consumers.
