DIABLO III RELEASE DATE AND PRICE

Finally, the much awaited third chapter of the hugely successful Diablo series by Blizzard Entertainment has finally received a definitive release date. Just moments ago, Blizzard has announced that Diablo III will be unleashed to gamers throughout the world on 15 May 2012 and they have actually opened the digital pre-sales for the game right away.

Diablo III will be made available in two editions: the Standard Edition in both physical DVD release and digital download as well as a Collector’s Edition which will come with a behind the scene Blu-Ray/DVD set, a Diablo III soundtrack, an Art of Diablo III book, a Diablo skull base with a 4GB USB soulstone that is filled with full version of Diablo II and its Lord of Destruction expansion pack together with exclusive in-game contents for Diablo III, StarCraft II and World of WarCraft as well as the game itself in DVD format.

Blizzard has priced the game at RM 184 (USD 59.99) for Standard Edition and RM 306 (USD 99.99) for Collector’s Edition. That being said, we believe that the actual price of the Diablo III here in Southeast Asia will be slightly higher at around RM 218 (SGD 90.00) - as currently listed on Battle.net for digital download pre-sale (shown above) - while the availability of Collector’s Edition in this region is not yet known for now.

In addition to that, World of Warcraft players are also able to get the game for free if they signed up for WoW’s Annual Pass before 1st May but the promo is not applicable to accounts that are registered after 13 March. To learn more, head on to the game’s official website at us.battle.net/d3.
