Word on the street today is that Samsung's much-anticipated Galaxy S III is slated for a March announcement followed by an April launch. The news of this comes from ZDNet Korea who allegedly confirmed the time frame with Samsung's advertising and marketing firm Cheil Worldwide. The company is said to be planning a massive UK ad campaign centered around the summer Olympics.

This isn't the first time we've heard the rumors of an Olympic tie-in for advertising and it would make sense for Samsung to go big this summer. With the entire planet watching and an expected worldwide launch, Samsung could hit us over the head with Galaxy S III campaigns.

Given the recently leaked specifications I imagine that there would be plenty of interest in the new flagship model. Details for the smartphone include Android 4.0, a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, a 4.8-inch 1080p high-definition display, and ceramic case.
