The new details from ASUS revealed that the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime is also equipped with a Super IPS+ display with Corning Gorilla Glass, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, 8-megapixels f/2.4 autofocus rear camera with flash, 1.2-megapixels front facing camera and SonicMaster audio with built-in subwoofer. It is also comes with a microSD card slot, microHDMI port and 3.5mm combo audio jack.
The tablet will be preloaded with Android 3.2 operating system that is upgradable to Android 4.0 a.k.a the Ice Cream Sandwich once the update is made available by ASUS. In terms of battery life, the tablet offers up to 12 hours of battery life which can be extended further to 18 hours through the optional mobile dock. The dock also gives the tablet additional USB 2.0 port, full size SD card slot and a touchpad.
The ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime will be available in two built-in storage options: 32GB for RM 1559 (USD 499) and 64GB for RM 1,871 (USD 599) in Malaysia; while the optional mobile dock will be priced at RM 466 (USD 149). The release date has been mentioned sometime in December.
