Maxis isn’t a service provider that allows you to make calls and enjoy wireless broadband on the go, it also provides internet services to homes and to strengthen its offering on the home front, Maxis Broadband Sdn Bhd recently signed a strategic alliance agreement with BU One Management Co. Sdn Bhd (BU One) to offer Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) solutions to the residents of 9 Bukit Utama Condominium in Bandar Utama, Selangor. This means that residents of the said condominium will be able to enjoy full end-to-end fibre connections on each individual unit in all three blocks.
Maxis currently have a suite of Home services including Home Fibre Internet, Home Wireless Internet and Home Wired Internet. Packages range from as low as RM59 a month on the Home Wireless Internet service. As for Home Fibre Internet, the speed offered are 4Mbps, 6Mbps and 10Mbps at RM128, RM158 and RM218 per month respectively. Additionally, Maxis also offers premium fibre internet packages for high usage customers, at 30Mbps speeds which comes with a quota of 300GB for RM398 a month.

With Maxis Home services readily available at 9 Bukit Utama Condominium today, residents can just sign up for the service when they move in.”
He also added that Bandar Utama Development wanted to ensure that Maxis Home is available for Block Beta and Block Ceta of the 9 Bukit Utama Condominium, before the 2 blocks are launched. Block Ceta has already been launched in October 2011 and Block Beta is expected to be launched in the first quarter of 2012. He believes that the partnership brings a win win result for Bandar Utama Development, Maxis and the residents of 9 Bukit Utama Condominium alike.
Maxis launched its Home services in March 2011, making it Malaysia’s first multiple-play service provider offering rich content over multiple screens. Currently, under its Home Internet offering, Maxis offers four fibre internet plans powered by Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) technology, priced from as low as RM128 per month as mentioned above. These plans are packaged to present customers with greater value by offering unlimited calls to Maxis fixed line, an allocated amount of minutes to Maxis mobile numbers and select IDD destinations, as well as value added services which include unlimited music downloads, internet security, parental control and unified inbox. Customers also have the option to sign up for a Wireless Internet add-on with an upgraded modem. On top of that, Maxis mobile customers get to enjoy additional minutes on their mobile service. Maxis will also be offering TV services with enriched content in the near future.
