The iPhone 4S price is now available on both Maxis and DiGi. While both have their own offers – Maxis gives you more subsidy on the device with a more expensive monthly payment, and DiGi offers less subsidy but gives you monthly rebates on the plans, here’s a summary of what you pay at the end of contract.

To sum it up, it sure looks like DiGi is offering a cheaper price over the span of 24 months for all the plans. The benefit of signing up with DiGi is if you tend to exceed your data quota usage, DiGi will not charge you extra instead, your speed will be throttled. Maxis on the other hand will charge you Rm0.05/10KB, maximum charge at RM250.
This is just a summary of course. What you choose will depend on your own usage and how much coverage you get – on a personal note, DiGi does not have any 3G connectivity in my in-law’s home town and I’m not happy about its almost unusable Edge and GPRS speed. Additionally, the price above for DiGi is calculated based on the monthly payment after autobilling rebate of RM5/month. If you do not have any credit card, you’ll have to pay an extra RM120 over the span of 24 months.
