There’s something special about white gadgets; people automatically get attracted to them and the availability of an old gadget in white seems like such a big deal. Last year, Samsung announced the availability of several of their existing devices in white and now, it looks like HTC is going to introduce an Ice White version of its HTC Sensation. According to a Dutch PR site, HTC will be adding the new color to its Sensation phone but that’s not the only thing they’re doing, the company will also launch it with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS out of the box. Of course, this means that the whole Sensation line will also get the ICS treat.

According to the press release (in Dutch), the Ice White HTC Sensation will come with all the regular things like a 4.3” qHD display, 8MP camera and so on. It is expected to be launched on 1 March 2012. The release went on to say that HTC Sensation XE and Sensation XL will be getting ICS via an Over-the-Air update soon though, no specific dates were revealed.

Meanwhile, HTC recently acknowledged that some of its Android phones have a software flaw that will reveal security credentials across the Wi-Fi networks they connect to. The company announced that they will be sending a OTA fix soon but some of the phones may need a manual update. The affected devices are as follows:

Desire HD – Versions FRG83D, GRI40

Glacier – Version FRG83

Droid Incredible – Version FRF91

Thunderbolt 4G – Version FRG83D

Sensation Z710e – Version GRI40

Sensation 4G – Version GRI40

Desire S – Version GRI40

EVO 3D – Version GRI40

EVO 4G – Version GRI40
