As mentioned in the leaked road map in early February, this month will see the release of two new enthusiast-levels GPU under AMD Radeon HD 7000 series in the form of Radeon HD 7870 and 7850. This means that one can expect to see graphics cards based on both GPUs at local retailers very soon from various manufacturers including MSI.
Although we are still not able to check out the official specifications from either MSI or AMD site – apparently, product information for both GPU are still locked at the time this article is being written - the Taiwanese manufacturers have confirmed that their Twin Frozr III thermal solution will be included as part of their upcoming Radeon HD 7870 and 7850 line-up. As you might remember from MSI's previous Radeon HD 7950 release, MSI’s Twin Frozr III solution promises better airflow as well as lower operational temperature and fan noise compared to the standard reference design.
